Sad day - - your input might help

We need to reduce our collection by at least 5 animals. My bf and I knew this day was coming but we get so attached to these little guys that we were hoping more room, time, and feeders would just sprout out from nowhere.

I totally don't want to get rid of any of them, heh. They're my babies! Most I've raised from hatchlings. It's just sad to think they need to go..

I'm going to name the ones that don't have plans for a project next season and I'll go in the order I have these guys on my Degei program:
-Vladmir - Visual male. SHTCT poss het murphy's patternless. His carrot tail is broken but it's more than half the tail. Color isn't that bright.
-Irji - Visual male. Dark hypo het murphy's patternless and blizzard. Very laid back personality. I really like his dark color.
-Acacia - Visual female. Jungle. Super hypo carrot tail. Carrot tail looks like she might have some stripe genes. Very pale body coloring, very pretty.
-Guinivere - Visual female. Ovulating. Tremper albino. Regenerated tail, but otherwise no distinguishing characteristics.
-Camille - Visual female. Ovulating. Jungle hypo tang. Very large eyes. Partial regen tail.
-Mallorie - Visual female. Ovulating. Murphy's patternless.
-Paco - TS male. Super hypo. Hatched out at 1g. Will probably never reach full size. Will be pet only if sold.
-Kamea - Visual female. Jungle snow het bell and blizzard.
-Basil - Visual male. Snow blizzard het bell.

Mostly it's just the getting of the "cold hard facts" down that's going to help me. But if you'd like, give me your input. Which five should I let go?

In case you're interested, we've only got a couple of definite projects planned for next season. They're nothing really too big, though.

...and that's about all we've got planned for now. If you want to suggest pairings/projects for the animals listed above you're more than welcome to do that, too. If we can find something interesting to do with them, we'll HAVE to keep them, right? lol

Just my opinion but I would keep the males. You can use them to cross in traits more easily than females. That being said these are the 5 I would let go.

I know that day will come for me too, it's gonna be hard to do, esp. since I have 2 little boys, and they are ALL our pets! I bought the boys each their own gecko... and then there are "mine", the ones I bought esp. for breeding. I told the boys that we will keep some of the babies, and will eventually have to let someone else have a turn with the mom and daddy geckos. They are already complaining. All are too new still to be worring about that yet, but I know that day will come....Im dreading it already. I get attached also, so I feel for you Khrysty

I know how you feel Khrysty. I've had to let some adults go because we just can't keep everything. It's hard. They each have their own special qualities as well as distinct personalities. I think the rehab ones show a level of trust that expresses their gratitude. The worst thing was thinking of my blue tongue skink. Her big tank sits where i need to put a rack system for next year's leo babies. I cried every time it was discussed. My eyes are welling up right now while I'm typing. So, I'll pile up more crap in my storage, move the tank (gads!) and keep my big beautiful girl
