Yesterday the first Leopard Gecko I ever owned passed away. I had him for a little over 3 years after adopting him from another owner on C-list. I have no idea what his age was- but he was a beautiful leo.
Anyways- that is what brought me to this site. I enjoyed his company and I find it VERY comforting to find this community of animal lovers.
I am a college student finishing up my Biology and Primary Education degrees. My occupation is a certified Vet technician, but will be combining this with Elementary School teaching very soon. My family includes 3 cats, 2 dogs, 3 love birds, 2 yellow bellied turtles, 2 crested geckos, and my female leo who seems so lonely in her 20 gallon w/o her partner in crime.
I recently bought a starter home with my loving partner... and reside near Washington DC. With that- I am very excited to meet everyone here!!!:p

I'm sorry to hear about your first leo. You have a lot of animals but I guess that makes sense being that you are a vet tech :) Love birds are cute! Welcome to GeckoForums!

Welcome to GF. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. There are many great breeders in the herp community with awesome animals to choose from. When you see fit to look for a new pet I'm sure you will find no shortage of great animals.

Thank you for the sympathy. I haven't put a lot of thought into getting a new leo just yet- but I'm sure this would be a great network to consider. I've read through a lot of boards and everyone seems so informed!
Great to meet you all.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss, the same incident is what brought me here to GeckoForums too. We lost our leopard gecko of 5 years, it was very heartbreaking to say the least. We then got online and bought two other geckos, a breeding pair, then started breeding and became a member on here, the rest is history! We now have 15 geckos that are our own, but tend to have over 20 or 30 at any given time. Welcome to Gecko Forums!

I'm sorry for your loss as well. It never gets easier, especially when it's a "first". Welcome to GeckoForums, it's nice to have another CVT!
