I have been to this reptile center and it isn't big. It's a close knit group of ppl that love animals and love showing their animals to others. It was the most intresting thing in Alice Springs (sorry if you are from there!). I feel horrible for these people and i wish only the best for them.
For the child.... on the other hand.... I don't even want to say what that kid deserves. I know he was 7 years old, but 7 year olds know better then that.

That's terrible. Why would a 7 year old even think about doing this? It's pretty sick. The parents should have had a closer watch on him. What on earth were the parents doing for the 30 minutes that he was going on his 'rampage'? I can only imagine.

Serial Killers start out doing exactly what this 'child' did. Unfortunatley, this kid is only 7 years old and cannot be held responsible for his actions. His parents need to get into a professional program with their kids before it's too late!

Most of the people who do shameful things to animals do not become serial killers.

There is no single identifying criterion before the ultimate act.

The thing that makes it so weird is that he had no emotion on his face as he did this. Thats what bothers me. I would think if he was doing it for fun because he wanted to be like Steve Irwin, then he would smile or something... but he acted like it was nothing...

I agree that this kid needs help, and needs it now! He may not grow up to be a serial killer, but this act definitely means he needs some psychological help. For anyone who is old enough to know what right and wrong is (this kid), this shouldn't have been done without feeling some kind of remorse or guilt!

It's a horrible thing...I sure hope the parents do something, or that some authorities do something.

This kid will probably get his ass handed to him in school, IF he's allowed back. I know if i were in his class i would'a pulled the whole "So you think hittin things with rocks is fun huh, WHACK, was that fun?." just my opinion. But yes Karma will find a way, it always does.

I think the child is in need of serious professional help. I also feel the parents should be held responsible for their child's actions. IMO, we humans are not born knowing right from wrong. We are taught morals, responsibility, and what is right/wrong from our parents and just by interacting with our own species. If no one is there to teach a child to respect animals from day one, that hurting them is wrong, said child will not know their actions are wrong.
