Sani Chips?

I called like 6 pet stores near my house and none of them had vermaculite in. I usually use that but I recently bought some T-Rex sani chips to try it out. It says specifically for leopard geckos and a certain type of snake I forgot the name of. Anyways has anyone ever had problems with the chips before? I thought I heard someone tell me to stay away from the wood stuff but I forget.

What are you using vermiculite for? Dont use anything besides paper as it can cause injury to the leos fragile skin and can be just as bad as sand. Imagine eating a wood chip!

Like said above, stay away from any loose substrates for leos.

i am using this substrate for my adults and juvies. i should have mentioned that before. its for their moist box and egg laying. so has anyone had any issues with the sani chips before? i only keep my babies on shop towels. i noticed 1 reason i prefer vermaculite over the chips because it moves more loosly to check for eggs.
