Schedule for gravid girls

I'm curious what your schedules are for vitamin/calcium gravid females, and breeding males.

Males I have added an extra day of cal/d3 and without.

I'm having problems with my current female producing eggs, she eats like 3 or 4 crickets, mealies dusted then she looses interest unless I add them not dusted so I got some liquid calcium for her as a daily calcium.

I have all of my tubs set up the same way. they all have 2 dishes in each in each tub. The first dish is their food dish. i feed only mealworms to my geckos. in the food dish i put the mealworms and vitamin powder. the mealworms eat the vitamins and get gut loaded with the vitamins.
The other dish is calcium powder. The geckos actualy go to the dish and will lick the calcium out. i hope this helps you out.

Well I have trouble getting mine to eat from bowls, and I do see them lick calcium sometimes.

I guess I will keep giving her what I can while she takes it and call the vet about the liquid calcium dosage, if I can ever get in touch with him!

Mandi, sometimes the supplement powder smothers the mealworms so they die and aren't moving. In cases like this, you may want to consider what SaSobek suggested and keep the bowl of worms and the bowl of calcium separate. I feed crickets one a week that tend to stay coated with calcium powder to make sure the geckos are actually getting the supplements.

When you say liquid calcium are you talking about the neocal stuff?? When you say dosage from a vet it makes me beleive you are referring to that. If so it is not a good idea you animals will get hypocalcimic, in addition to other health problems. I dont mean to be a pain about this topic but trust me that stuff is for SEVERLY calcium defficent animals, not healthy animals.
If you are reffering to the liquid calcium snake people use then disreguard my warning. But serious dont use neocal for supplementation, i have seen the horrors and it is just not a good idea.
To help with the egg laying process i offer my females pinkies after the first and last clutch. This give them the boost they need. take care, and i hop eyou did not take offense to any part of this post

Yes I have this http://cgi.ebay.com/Calcionate-Liqu...ryZ33961QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

I don't take offense to anyone that offers opinions to me, or advice that's why I come here.

I was told by my vet to get it first off for my sick bb bubba, but I'm not going through that again because I've stated that already in another thread.

I got in touch with my vet today FINALLY and he said if she isn't eating her dusted food, then the liquid would be fine but not everyday. He said twice a week 1cc, I started her on it tonight and she didn't even take the 1cc maybe 2 drops she got so I left it at that. I'm no vet by any means but I will take his advice because he is MY vet.

1cc IS WAY TOO MUCH!! What is he thinking?? Think how big a leos stomach is and how much 1cc is. We just had a beadie in that had caclium problems weighed 10 grams and got 0.03cc, soo your female(dont know her weight but guessing at 45-50) should be getting no more then .1cc. That dose is overdosing her by 10 times! Trust me i just want your dose to be correct, at the vet i work with this stuff alot, and the vets never give does(its the tech that calculate..lol)
