There's one at the local Pet** and it's been there for at least a year. They can't seem to sell him and he's marked down to 20% off but all the employees tell me they'd gladly knock at least 40% off or more just because no one has shown any interest in him.

He's very cute and I have been debating whether or not to give him a home. Does anyone have any experience they can share about these lizards? There isn't much out there about them.

They are very cool and amazing skinks
I only had mine for a week before he died from a RI but man I wish I still had him
they like it quite hot, 80 at the cool end 110 on the basking 90 in the warm end
they need a deep sand substrate and seem to like a good sized water bowel

they are very fun and I hope you get him and hope that someday Ill have some more

There great little skinks that are very cheap at around 20 dollars and its such a shame they are not captive bred. I had mine for nearly 7 years and as stated above a deep sandy substrate is the way to go and they like it hot.

So sand's the way to go? He's been on some kind of bark at the store. His tail is very kinked up. Probably from being cramped in that tank for so long. Would a 40 breeder be large enough for him?

Also when I visited yesterday for fish supplies, I checked in on him and he stood on his back legs, put his front feet on the glass. And then I can only describe this by saying he bent backwards. It was like his back literally folded in half. And then he just flipped back to normal. ...do they do this? Or is it obvious that he's injured... :/
