I just went to feed my little one a meal worm by hand, Which i have not done before since it is still young and new to me. Anyway what's with the high pitched sound it made before the strike. It did miss the worm as i pulled back a little, kind of scared the poop out of me LOL:shocked: :uneasy:

Or could it of been warning me to stay away or something along those lines?.

It was trying to scare you away...and it worked! LOL That's the only defense strategy they have when they're little, screaming and biting. You'd probably be better off just leaving mealies in a bowl.

This is good to no. I was hoping he was just getting rowdy. When do you guy's think is the right time to be getting closer. It's been 3-4 weeks since i brought it home from the petshop. I've tried to pick it up once but no go. I left it alone for say 2 weeks until now with the mealworm finger feeding.

don't feed with mealworms by hand, just drop them in, he will see your hand and probably think that person feeds me. Everyday put your hand a little bit away from him for 5 min. or so

It will get used to you just being in an out of the tub eventually. There's no reason to hand feed Leos. That can back fire, and they can start to refuse food from a bowl. I think David just meant to drop the mealies in so that it saw that there was food in front of it if you were having issues with it eating from a bowl.

I will not be feeding by hand in the future and i will stick to dropping it out front his hide in the morning and a couple crickets at night for hunting,or until they wounder into his/her hide.
