Search and Rescue

So I just got done with some unexpected search and rescue. I decided to go and look at one of my interesting hatchlings and found my nicest one of the year hanging out on the heat-tape (so glad for the night drop). Caught her with general ease, only to discover my next best one is missing too. Unfortunatley this one I can't find right away. As I'm looking around for that one, I find a house gecko caught in one of our fly traps. I grab the strip and take it to the bathroom so I can get him off the tape. I used some mild hand soap and warm water to get him off. Before I could finish the little booger jumped onto a towel and got stuck again. Finally he came off the towel only to get stuck on my wife's evil scale. What a fiasco! While he's rehabing in the bathroom I continue to look for the lost leo. I'm about to give up and he darts out from under the kegerator. The moral of the story, I now have a baby girl named Yuengling.

I had one missing for 2 weeks and found him in a golf bag. He really enjoyed the driving range that day. Never had a leo jump into my arms before.

Cooking oil gets sticky stuff off well. I had an escaped female show up a week later stuck to a cricket stick pad! lol

LOL what a fiasco. I am sure you had some Yuengling when you were done. BTW I want a kegerator for our house!

My gold dust day gecko got out somehow and was "missing" for a few days. I wasn't sure it was missing because she's hard to see. Finally I combed through each leaf and she really wasn't there. I started going around the room looking up and found her on the wall behind the other 2 planted tanks.

I can't say how nice it is that leos only have nails and not suction cups. I don't think I would have any left.

Oh, man. That takes me back to when I 'tried' to have House Geckos. :main_yes: No matter what I did, those little buggers ALWAYS managed to escape. I found them on the walls all over the dang place!! The cats thoroughly enjoyed that experience! LOL
