Hi everyone. We are thinking about adding an additional level in our cage. It's a converted aquarium, so it's a bit taller than your average terrarium. Its about 16" high, 10" wide and 30" long. Any suggestions? I saw this thread:

I was wondering if anyone else has actually tried to glue a piece into their tank? Or if theres something that works better? PLEASE post pics of your second levels!

I used foam-core board and pins to make a small "mezzanine" level in their tank. I don't have much tools at home, I can only do things with a small cutter, something that I can handle myself. Although the foam-core board is very light-weight, it seems to do fine as long as I don't put heavy rocks on it. I also sewed a mat to cover the platform. :)

small "mezzanine" level

Wow Bonnie, that is really nice. Good work. You will find that the foam core board is quite strong. I carpet a cut out piece and lean it against a wall of the aquarium to allow the geckos an activity time. They use it to climb, strengthen legs, and keep claws in tone...as cats do.....take care. / HJ

One more tips, I lined all surface of the foam-core board with transparent tape, so I can wipe it with wet cloth for cleaning. ;)
