Separate feeding bin?

I have a new Leo. We've had her for a month or so. She's approx 4-6mo old. She seems to have settled in nicely. But my question is about feeding. She doesn't really hunt. I have tried putting crickets in her tank (she's in a 20gal). She will eat 1 or 2 when they get near her but she does not seem to search them out. I thought it was because I was watching so I have left them in her tank for an hour. I tried with light on and with lights off and they are all still in there when I come back. She also does not eat out of the food bowl. I have small mealworms and a couple Superworms in there and has not eaten any of them. She will eat 1 or 2 Superworms per day if I drop them near her. She walks up to it and licks it. I think she is checking the hardness of the skin. She likes the freshly molted ones.

Anyway, my question is this: Should I put her in a separate small tub with some crickets? That way there is nothing for them to hide under or on. Or should I just keep on doing what I am doing and let her figure it out?

Personally I'd jut leave her to it, prob freek her out Beeing locked in a tub with a bunch of crickets lol.
I could be wrong, and no dought someone will chime in if they have had results with said technique. But I think she's just Settling in :)
20gal is a nice big tank for a juvie so it'll take time for her to remember where the food is. Just keep it in the same place and she will figure it out :)

I use a seperate container when on that rare occasion of feeding crickets. But only one feeder at a time is put in, so as not to have them bouncing all over. I don't want them in the enclosure in case they aren't eaten or hide, coming out to pester my geckos or find poop to eat. My main feeders are worms, very rarely do I offer crickets.

Thanks Laney. That is kind of what I was thinking. I appreciate your suggestions. I am just trying to make sure she gets variety and is happy and healthy with us.

Seperate feeding tank is just fine!, its what I do and I only had her for 2 weeks now. I think its much better..you can control what he/she eats without having to search for crickets she/he didnt eat. I also heard your suppose to take out crickets they cant eat after 20-30 min because they can bite your gecko while in the cage aswell as possibilities of carrying parasites...mine didnt like the seperate tank until the 2nd or 3rd time we tried...now as soon as we drop her in shes on her game..just keep trying! its better in the long run especially if your going to have a setup where theres alot of crevices.

Thanks. I tried it last night. She had no interest in the cricket at all. She spent most of the time trying to climb the wall of the container. Then she spent about 3 minutes just standing absolutely still in the middle of the floor. We thought maybe she was waiting for the cricket to get within striking distance but it walked right in front of her face a few times and she did not move a muscle. After a few minutes of this, it was creeping me out so I put her back in her tank.
I will keep trying. She does eat 1-2 super worms every other day, so I am not too worried. Just trying to figure out the best way to care for her.
