A while back I got three geckos from a Reptile expo, one died young but the other two were housed together and they were doing quite nicely. That is until I realized that they were male and female. My female is currently Gravid and I could not find a tank separator anywhere so I made one. I made it out of wood and sanded it so that it is smooth and attached a small door onto it that I can lift it at any time during the breeding season if I want them to breed, probably sometime next year, and as soon as I separated them, my female started eating and went to sleep in her warm hide. My male was a bit panicked because of course, he's male and away from my female, but he settled down relatively quickly and went to sleep in his hide.
I feel so much better now that I have the separator because, it may decrease their running space slightly but they are so much calmer and relaxed now. Instant relief.
