Several medical questions

1) I have a 2 year old male who has been having problems with his eyes. It started out as stuck shed, then became cloudy with discharge. Now both eyes look this way. I have him on Terramycin. I also have access to Fortaz injections, should I give him antibiotics as well?

2) How does one go about injecting antiobiotics into geckos. Do you use the forearm like in Iguanas?

3) This gecko is also shedding like crazy. He sheds almost weekly since his eye has been bothering him. Is this normal?

4) He also has an occasional crystal like substance appear on his gumline. I remove these little chunks and he seems fine.

The vet said they will likely put him on antibiotics. They will show me how to do it myself. Is it the same as with an iguana in the forearm? Or should I request something oral? I trust my vet, but I would love input from people who have been through this ordeal before.

The last time I sought treatment from the vet, my monitor suffered and died despite a lot of money, time and effort invested in her care. I don't want this gecko to suffer and then die, so I may just pull the plug if the vet starts into the whole "first we'll try this, then maybe that, then we can think about..." until the poor thing dies anyway.
