well my gecko is about 5 inches long, i haven't been able to mass him, but ill be sure to do that, he is a pretty skinny "thing", the problem is i don't know if "he" is big enough to sex, i have looked at "his" area :main_robin: and don't see any bulges, does this mean that it is a female.:main_huh:

How old is "he?" If its a very young gecko you wont be able to tell, I think it was about 6 months till we could confirm Greedo was female, so we picked a unisex name!
You are right that females dont have the two bulges above there opening, and males do, also males have a definate "V" pattern of spots as well.
Hope this helps Im not an expert though!

You can usually tell once they reach 15-20g. By the time they're 30g it should be pretty obvious. Young males may not have very pronounced bulges but you can usually see two tiny bumps where the hemipenes are developing.

So at what size or age should you be able to see the obvious pre-anal pores on the male?

Thanks,
Michael
