Finally, after two weeks of worrying about Peppers tail, she dropped the black part. I ran around the house screaming I was sooooo happy! :p

Now the scabby underpart is left. She shed yesterday, and she cant pull the skin surrounding the scab cause it hurts her too much. I cant soak her in the solution the vet gave me cause all it does is make it bleed. :main_no:

So is neosporin ok to keep on it? I have no clue what else to do.:main_huh:

Def. place some sort of triple antibiotic on the tail where she dropped it. What about doing a warm soak in just plain warm water? Thats what I would do.

I wouldn't soak her in anything. Keep the wound dry, not wet. She should be okay without an antibiotic but if you feel you need to then apply it. I'm glad she's dropped it for you and I know she'll heal up just fine! :)

i have used triple antibiotic ointment on small little things like this but also i have used A&D ointment on stuff like this with great success as well :)

i would not do the bath but make sure and keep her enclosure very clean until it begins to heal over and has no scab :D

Congrats! I'm so happy for you! I use "Silvirsulf cream" on open wounds.
