Candy, a 7" normal just seems like she has no energy. At times she is out at night and looking around but lately she just seems like she wants to sleep all the time. She gets "semi" excited when I feed her some crickets but crawls back into her hide and closes hers eyes like she want to go back to sleep.

She is eating and pooping........ but no pep in her step..lol.

Any thoughts?

Is she in an area of your house where there is a lot of traffic? Also, have you thought about covering part of her tank with a towel, so she has more privacy? Sometimes when there's a lot of people running back and forth, dogs and cats all over the place, phones ringing, TVs on, vacuums....etc. they tend to hide more often...they like quiet.

There is little traffic because it's just me and my wife. I'm here in the day but in my office. My wife goes to bed early and so no TV either. In fact it is quiet and she has a lot of privacy. She likes to just look or stair at us sometimes. Sticks her head out of the hide...lol.

But here in the past week or so when she eats she just wants to go to sleep. I mean she will eat and seems to get sleepy in a few seconds. No other pets except a hamster...... who does get active at night....LOL!

What are the tank temperatures at?

I think this maybe the problem. We are having warm days and cold still. The UTH on the 15 gallon is located in the back left and I am using 6" tiles. It seems as the room temp moves up and down it also affects the Hot side where the Hide is placed. Meaning moving the hide towards the back is hotter and the front is not as hot. This seems to be the so called trick. I moved the hide towards the front ( less heat because it's not covered by the Hot Spot created by the UTH )

It seems ( guess) as long as my room temp moves up and down I need to adjust or move the Hot Hide.
