i took a 3 week vacation and left my geckos at my girlfriend's house so that she would take care of them and my smallest gecko, who is less than 2 months old at the moment had a bad shed because of low humidity. there is unshed skin constricting the tip of his tail. will the tip fall off? or what ca i do for the skin to fall off? is a high humidity hide enough? or should i treat the tail with olive oil as well?

I get a q-tip with some water on it and rub it gently until it comes off. I had to do this twice last week because of weather changes.

Get a plastic tub, fill it with warm water about knee deep of the gecko put a paper towel down and let him/her soak for 5-10 then grab a q-tip to gently on the area..you may have to repeat the steps. make sure your tub has a top

I will throw this out there. I has a red tail boa that had shed problems and even at one point has a cap over its eye.

I used shed-ease and warm water with a top. And then rubbed her Down.

the problem is that the skin hardened and the tip of the tail turned red. it's been like this for a week

the toes are allright. if he loses the tip of the tail, will it grow back? tip meaning around 3mm.
