My leo was shedding yesterday morning, and a day later, he has gotten all of the skin off except for a lot around his right eye and right side of the head. Is there a way for me to help him remove it? he cant reach it with his tongue or claws. He has a moist hide too.

Tricks for clearing toes?

I've soaked and Q-tipped my male's toes, but still have 3 toes that the shed just refuses to come off of.

It's been about 3-4 days since he started his shed, everything else came off perfectly, and I've been working on the toes for about 10-15 minutes per night. Unfortunately, now that I'm down to these 3, all I've gotten the last 2 nights is an irritated gecko.

Any thoughts?

The toes are the hardest to get.. Lots of soaking and patience.. Better to have an irritated gecko than one thats missing toes.. I have a 2 hatchlings that I have to help with getting the shed off their toes.. I have found that the "Zilla humidifying spray" works better than water to soften shed skin..

The q-tips never worked on the toes for me either. After soaking I use a pair of tweezers, grab onto a loose edge and then pull very carefully to remove the skin. After a good soak it slides right off like a tube sock. You have to be very confident in your tweezer skills to do this so don't risk it if you're feeling unsure, you wouldn't want to grab onto any live tissue! Good luck!
