Shed stuck on toes

I just checked on my gecko to make sure his shed had gone well, he just has 3 toes with shed on them still, its at the very tip, but its not that noticeable so maybe im just seeing things. Should I help him out or will these pieces just fall of after running around for awhile? His tail has some very faint spots now

give him a soak in lukewarm water and use a q-tip to gently rub it off. this kind of think isn't deady- but it could result in loss of toes :/

He doesnt exactly like it when I try to move him. When it was cage cleaning time and I put him in a temporary cage, he started trying to escape it and was running like crazy, so I put him back in. Could I use a spray bottle or leave him in a really moist moist hide?

Well they tend to not like it.
But if you put an empty paper towel roll in, and remove the hides...he will go in and take refuge there in a minute or two.
Then lift it up.
The first time I soaked mine, she didn't like that either. She screamed the first time, and tries to escape every time I keep doing it.

I have a cage I use for crickets, but now I need more crickets so I bought a new cage and have this one left over. It is 6 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 5 inches high. Is this an okay size to put him in? He is about 5 inches long. How much water goes inside?

water up to his elbows, that cage should work, hes not gonna be there for very long (maybe 1/2 hr?? dont quote me on this) if that dosnt work, i'd just plug up the bathroom or kitchen sink and do it in there (ask mom first lol and rinse it out good first too) and definately supervise the whole she-bang. we dont need any mishaps

You can also use Lubriderm lotion to massage into the feet, I use it along with the soak when soaks alone arent any help. Its safe I read about in my Herotoculture of Leopard Geckos book and it works great!
