Shedding help please!

We have had a leopard gecko for about 4 months, and we are having some shedding issues. He's still a baby, and about a week ago he started to shed, and nothing came off. He stopped eating and became very lethargic. We took him to the vet who told us to soak him 2 times a day... His skin is off except for on his legs and head. He's still not eating, and I don't know what to do about his head! I can't very well soak that! This gecko is my 8 year old daughters pet, and she loves him so much... Any help you folks could give me would be much appreciated. If he's not better by Wednesday we have to take him back to the vet...

If you post some pictures it might help. Try gently pulling the skin off its head, after you soak it. If the humidity is very high for a few minutes it will help it come off.

We have him in a 20 gallon terrarium, with a moist hide and 2 "caves". We feed him crickets that are fed with gut-loading stuff (it's green). We have a cooler side and a warm side. I was able to "roll" the skin down past his eyes this afternoon, and will work on it some more tomorrow. Still not eating. As soon as I figure out how to post a picture I will...

No, the vet said that what we were feeding the crickets was good. We're not giving him anything else.

yeaaaaah, there is not GutLoad i know of that can replace needed calcium supplements. His shedding may be caused by vitamin deficiency.

The gut loader said it has a calcium supplement in it. That being said, what can I do to correct this? Especially since he's not eating now? Thank you for your help... I appreciate it!

Get some calcium carbonate without d3. Get some reptivite with d3. Leave some calcium in his cage all the time. Dust the crickets once a week with reptivite once he starts eating. I would keep soaking him every day.
Also, the gutload gives the crickets calcium, not the gecko.
