Ok thank you !

Is the kill crypto project a really serious investigation ?
it would be a dream to be able to cure my poor gecko :(
But even if it does work, it could be an agressive treatment too dangerous for the gecko no ?
I'm curious to see the outcome of this project, but I don't have high hopes, if they could not find a treatment for 30 years, why would they find it now by miracle with this project ?

What it boils down to is that research is expensive and there isn't a lot of money in developing a treatment for Cryptosporidium in reptiles. There isn't a cure because no one is looking.

The Kill Crypto project conducted the pilot study with funds raised by the gecko community. They had a very good success rate curing newly-infected animals, but that's as far as the study goes. It doesn't guarantee an instant cure or that the treatment will succeed in all cases, but it does offer the first glimmer of hope for a disease that, until this point, has been largely untreatable. Their paper is currently fighting to be published.
