Shedding Question

My leo went into shed about 2 days ago, and still hasn't shed. How long does this process generally take to complete? I figured it would be fairly quick. She has a moist hide(which she never uses), and since I'm in Florida the humidity is almost always at least 50%. Her head looks clear now, but maybe it's just because I'm new to this. Do they shed all at once, in pieces, or what? This is my first leo and I've only had her for about a week. No name yet either. :(

Thanks in advance. :)

mine complete the proccess within less than an hour. Maybe he is not utalising the humid hide beacuse it is too hot/cold? Also, if it is see-through then it may not feel safe. I would double check all your temps... the humidity should be less thean 50% throught the whole cage, and only humid in the humid hide... Try soaking him in some warm (not hot!) water. Fill up a plastic container with water that will reach the geckos chest, this usually aids in shedding.

Leos colors will start to fade a few days before they actually shed. The shedding process(actual peeling) can take from an hour to 24. If the humidity is perfect theyll take it all off in one piece and eat it.

it may also take a little bit longer since it's in a new home. from what i've heard, being in a new environment can cause them to take a little longer to shed since they are unfamiliar with their surroundings.

Keep us posted, I dont see it being much of a problem. Let us know when she is actually in shed, as if there are no problems then, then your gecko will be fine and dandy.

I have some that are quick. Like an hour or so and some that take a long time. Sometimes even have to help those that take a day or two to get it all off.
