I just recnetly recived some adult AFT's in Snake bags (with shredded newspaper inside ofcourse). I thought this was actually a pretty convenient way to ship large geckos, considering large animals can often push out of their deli cup if not the lid is not taped. You can also fit a large gecko that would require a large deli cup, which would then require a large box, into a smaller box to bring shipping cost down, since the gecko is in a bag instead of deli cup. Also if the box is flipped (which they sometimes are) if the adult gecko is in an 8 oz deli or 12 oz i think it would be pretty hard for the gecko to flip over and then it would be upside down, which could be very stressful. Does anyone ship adult geckos in snake bags regularly?

The geckos I received were around 30-40 grams. They were shipped in 8 x 12 snake bags.

Thanks for the help! :main_thumbsup:

Just a heads up on that, I had some gargs shipped to me in bags and one had some loose thread from the bag wrapped around her waist when she got here. She was fine but it was fairly tight and if left longer could have been a problem or wrapped around her neck. If shipping in bags you have to make sure the inside is fully stitched and secure to avoid a situation like that.
