Shipping to canada?

I've wondered thi,s but is it possible to ship from the USA to canada? or is it illegal to ship live animals over the border?? and im also assuming it would be way more expensive..any estimates on shipping over the border if its legal?

i read the thread and have called customs and food inspection and both have told me that if it is comercial it`s an extra 100$ or non commercial u just pay the taxes brought by car.
