My SHTCTB male Faraz is already not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have been thinking that he may have some vision problems too.
I never thought much of it, but he does not really do the stalk and strike at his prey. Rather he hangs his head over the mealworm dish and bites them when they bump his nose.
When I got Superworms for my larger males I tossed one in for Faraz and my Juvie female to see what they would do... the juvie female yummed it up, but Faraz didn't seem to know what to make of it. He just hung his head at it and didn't even attempt to eat it.
When I got him he was in a 10g tank with another male (twice his size although they were supposedly the same age), with a single hide, uv bulb and was fed crickets. He was pretty underweight and had heavy parasites and moderate MBD... I always thought that he was skinny because the other male was bullying him, but maybe it was because he could not track and hunt the crickets properly?
He sheds well now, but his first shed after I got him was difficult...
Any thoughts? Suggestions?
