Short temp drop to 68F?

So, after a little dispute with Ally tonight I found myself packing all of my things and moving back to my mothers. On the gecko trip, I filled the car with all of my geckos in their tubs right off the rack. I kept the car running and the heat on the entire time from loading to unloading, and even though it got quite warm to my mind in the car, the tub temps were all at 68*. It was about 30 minutes total and they are now back in the rack and back on heat, and though cold everyone seems fine. Is there anything I should be looking out for? Or is 68* even all that bad for a quick temp drop?

No, they should be just fine. When geckos are shipped in winter, it gets a lot colder in the boxes than 68 degrees during that 12 hour shipment. Trust me, I know...:main_rolleyes:

+1, my friend just came back from Afghanistan visiting family and when I asked him about the temp at night there he said it can get pretty cold. They can drop down to 50f.

Everyone seems to be doing fine. I'm just a worrier, lol. Who would have known that 24 16qt tubs, my frog keeper, a big tub of crickets, and a huge bag of sphagnum (for the frogs) from Menards, plus a ton of supplies could fit in a Nissan 200SX ><

Sorry this happened with you and Ally!

The animals should be just fine; when I drive them to reptile shows, it also gets warmer or cooler in the car than they're used to, and my trips are around 7 hrs. long sometimes and last 2-3 days. And right, the shipping boxes are even worse.

Hope your mom has nothing against reptiles :main_evilgrin: Maybe in the future, you can find yourself a nice big apartment with lots of wall space to put racks up :main_yes:

Thanks Chrissy. Unfortunately it seemed like the best thing for me and ally was to go our separate ways. She's not taking it very well but I'm really hoping she can find someone who can make her happier than I was able to.
