Its most likely a genetic defect.
Theres a few threads on here about geckos with curly tails, I would recommend you search them and read them and base your decision on what you read.

Katies right, it is most likely a genetic defect.
If it survives to adult hood/ you decide to keep him/her please NEVER breed from it.
If its eating and getting about okay then I wouldn't have thought the curly tail is any thing to worry about. It might have a problem shedding properly though.

Hey guys took it back to the person I got it off and said I'm not happy with it as it was struggling to walk as well he told me it probably has a calcium deficiency so he gave me another little Leo the bloke is a knob I can see him selling it to some one else know

At least you got a new one but thats terrible that he was selling it to someone else! Poor little guy...he probably won't last too much longer, especially if they are selling it off and not even getting him checked out. SMH!

If it wasn't too much of a loss I would've just kept it. Not going to get any special treatment from the seller it sounds like. Wouldn't count it as a rescue if I had purchased it without knowing it was a defect, seems like a death sentence to bring it back.

Sounds terrible, but probably the best thing the seller could do is cull it if it's really that young =/

Hope your replacement gecko isn't giving you trouble though.

I didnt want to be the first one to recommend culling it.
Im glad you got a replacement, hopefully it turns out to be a healthy pet.
Remember, not a good idea to breed these ones.

If they're hatching out with calcium deficencies and they're selling them like that (and you believe he will sell it again), this person is obviously no good. The smartest option would be to take the second gecko back and tell them you won't be doing any business with them from now on. This person doesn't deserve your money or even own any reptiles.
