Well I am considering changing Rampant Reptiles. My X and I created this name together, mostly him, and yet I was the one that ended up using it. He was going to breed snakes and I had leopard geckos, then changed his mind so I kept the name. I feel like its not really mine but yet it is. I dont really feel that I have a huge following or anything so it would not be the end of the world in that respect. I also feel that maybe the word "Rampant" gives off too much of an aggressive connotation and I should find a more friendly name... IDK

I guess Im wondering what you guys think... Is it worth changing my image?

Also I have no idea what my replacement name would be... lol

I think if you find something you like that resonates with you more than "rampant reptiles" I'd say go for it. Other people have changed their business name without major reprecussions.

Honestly your name isn't really that aggressive. You could have a Grim Reaper gecko as your icon and have something like Retribution in your name. ;)

Changing your business name (as long as you are registered in your state) can be a pain. After filing all the paper work to have that name then to just change it is more work then I would be willing to want to do personally.

I dont have a business license... dont make enough for that >_<
but maybe I will someday :)

Im thinking now would be the best time if I were to change it since I am starting to work on my website...

I was looking up the exact definition to "rampant"
1. violent in action or spirit; raging; furious: a rampant leopard.
2. growing luxuriantly, as weeds.
3. in full sway; prevailing or unchecked: a rampant rumor.
4. (of an animal) standing on the hind legs; ramping.
5. Heraldry. (of a beast used as a charge) represented in profile facing the dexter side, with the body upraised and resting on the left hind leg, the tail and other legs elevated, the right foreleg highest, and the head in profile unless otherwise specified: a lion rampant.
6. Architecture. (of an arch or vault) springing at one side from one level of support and resting at the other on a higher level.

I suppose I could use the lion rampant thing... like they used to do on shields except have it be a gecko as my logo. :)

If you do decide to change it you already know how to lay the foundation of a good reputaion. You would be starting over a little but maybe in the longrun it wont matter.
