Should I just cut open this egg?

This pictus gecko egg has been incubating for 3 months now. There was 6 to begin with, the other 5 all rotted through within the first few weeks. This ones not doing anything at all. I'm really tempted to just open it. Any ideas?

I'm not sure how long they incubate for but I would candle it and if it doesn't look dark red and is way past the date it should have hatched I would cut it and see what's going on. I might do it outside tho in case it stinks!!
