I know nothing about this species of gecko. I know its a N. Wheererli(sp?) and its a male. Its colors look different from most i have seen. Also what is the care requirements for it? I would be trading 2 racks for this gecko if i take the gecko and not cash...Thanks for any more info i can get on these little geckos.

Two racks? That's a valuable gecko, but not that valuable. If he came with a female then it'd be a different story, but as it is I wouldn't go through with that trade.

the racks are cheap racks they are the economy racks from animal plastics. so max without heat these racks are worth are maybe a 100 each and i have seen these for much more. is that a out of the norm morph?

Ohh, in that case, that's a good deal, haha. I'd do it.

I can't seem to find a care sheet for the N.Wheeleri anywhere. How big do they get? i know they eat insects. What kind of conditions do they need to be in? temps and such? I am attending a herp show tomorrow and i can probably get supplies cheaper than most there. Will it be okay in a 12x12x12 ExoTerra? Substrate? Anything else I should know? I have leos and cresties so i have insects and I have a light if needed. Thanks

well definitely good to read up on them before getting him. also that depends on what is more valuable to you. do or will you need the rack space or do you want to take on another species. if you need or will be needing the rack space I personally wouldn't do it.
on a side note I have an AP economy rack and heating does not work as well as the regular AP racks so I just got some pvc sheeting and closed up the sides and back and it works just fine now.

If you have plenty of racks and want to take on a new species and feel you can provide for it then go for it.

yeah i have plenty of racks. I wouldn't plan on breeding this lil guy anytime soon maybe next year or something like that I have enough with my leos and cresties and getting them to breed so it would be only a pet for now. I built myself 2 racks one for my leos and one for my cresties. i thought about just modifing the AP racks but i still needed new heat since it died completely it shortened out in many places on the cord. so my rack now has flexwatt which i have boaphile racks that are just fine i have had since 2005 and no problems with the flexwatt.

well i found a care sheet on the N. Levis on Marcias site, her rough knob tail one wasnt working. is the care about the same for both species since they are from the same country and do they need a light? and can one be fine a 12in exoterra? i have insects so food isn't a issue. i just need to know temps, bedding, light if needed?

thanks
Danielle

I still need to post my N. wheeleri care sheet in PDF format. If you email me, I'll send you the Word document version.

That is a very nice aberrant little N. wheeleri male, and I would think he's probably worth around $250-300.
