Shouldn't Emerines be green?

I see that alot ALOT of people these days post photos of Emerine and Emerine crosses that are called Emerine but look like anything else but. Emerine by name sounds like 'Tangerine' and 'Emerald', So one thinks of a Orange and Green gecko. Or some combination of colors with green that is predominant in some fashion. But now-a-days I am seeing more and more of the good ol' orange/yellow/white standby colors being called Emerines. What gives? Am I missing something?

I ask because all of mine (nearly) are directly or indirectly from Trempers original Emerald/Emerine and can be called Emerines and look like Emerine/ Emerine crosses or I wont call it as such. If one of mine were, say, 1/6 Emerine I would not say that its emerine anything because the liklihood someone would breed it to something and see those genes expressed is not very likely despite a remote possibility.

Yes? No?
