Awhile back I got bored, and found a lizard paint-by-number, and went to town :) I think it turned out adorable!

I found this free hand white chalk on black paper from when I was 15 :) (forgive the silly signature...it was for a class I was taking. Sadly, the teacher kept the rest of my work for display and this is all I have left).

This is one of the thousands of "doodles" that seem to take shape without me even knowing, when I'm bored to death and have a pencil and paper haha...

Anyways, they inspired me to start drawing again - when I was younger I used to draw all the time. Does anyone else have any neat drawings, paintings, etc? Any subject...I'd just love to see how talented this community is :)

That's absolutely awesome!! I love paint by numbers!! :) and the drawings are both very amazing!! That last one is super creative, I always need something to look at when I draw :main_yes: I used to draw all of the time when I was younger too.. haven't drawn in 5 years or so. I don't have any of my drawings anymore :main_no:

For the past few years I've just been working on cross stitching.. I have a few that I've started and just haven't finished yet. The bigger ones take me up to 6 months or more to finish, and that's only if I work on them continuously. I started this wolf one awhile back, it'll be for Mike when it's finished:

and then the dragon one that I've been working on for my mother, which I've shown on a post somewhere before:

I have had to put those on hold for now because I am trying to finish up some smaller ones before Christmas. I am currently working on an angel for my grandmother who turns 97 this month.

But I absolutely love arts and crafts  I wish there was some kind of career I could start just doing stuff like that LOL

Jess those are AWESOME! That's one thing I've yet to try...cross stitching. It looks incredibly hard!

Here is another paint-by-number I did a couple months back. I think they are so fun!

Thanks, they're not hard, just a lot of counting involved and they can take a lot of time ;)

That's an awesome paint by number too! I've wanted to do one for a long time.. I bought one that I planned to do for Mike's birthday, it was a picture of some golden retreivers.. I was all excited to do it, but when I opened the box, all of the paint was already dried up and some of the picture had already been painted! It was around the time of the calendar contest on here, so I just took it back and got some props for calendar pictures.. I still need to go back and get something else, and make sure I open the box and check it out before I buy!

I pinstripe and embroider things. I'll have to find pictures of my embroidery, I think I have them on another computer.

These are flour jars I striped a while back -

Very cool Heather, Jess, and Mel! I used to draw all the time! I should find some of my stuff and take pics.....

Jess, that wolf looks really cool just the way it is! lol I thought that's how it was supposed to look until I scrolled down. It has that whole half-transparent faded in and out face look......(I know I didn't word that right, but did ya get what I meant? ;) :p)
