I have some banded tremper tangerine albinos from RT... If I cross them with SHTCT's I have from albey's can I expect ALL SHTCT's 100% het Tremper? Here are some examples of potential breeders.

Then..... what to do with the babies???

Help on this breeding project is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Since SHTCT's are line bred, the results will vary in each individual case. You are right on about each one being 100% het Tremper.

So they all would look SHTCT or Tangering CT. Crossing the babies back to each other would start producing lots of different morphs (Hybino, Banded Tangerine Albinos, Tremper Albinos, Tangeringes.... any thing else?)

Thank you again.

There is no guarantee what the babies will look like, they should look something as what you said. If the babies are bred back to each other, you'd get a wide variety like you said.

Thanks KJ.

So all babies (from the bred together babies) should be relatively easy to identify except the ones that would look like SHT/CT. They could be het tremper or not het. So if bred together they would follow the probability of 50% het albino, 25% albino & 25% SHT not het. Correct?

So to go to hybino, I would have to be very careful only to cross the SHTCT het's with each other. This is easy after the first cross since they are all hets. Down the road it becomes more difficult/impossible to tell the het's from the Non-hets.

Sound about right?

Thanks again.

You could also cross the het offspring back to the albino parent to get hybinos if you have the correct gender match-ups.

So I have lots of little SHTCT het Tremper (See my first pics of the proud parents).

To get Hybino... next year what do I breed. Back to the banded albino (male) or to each other.

Thank you.:main_thumbsup:

Thanks C & P.

When you say breed back to the original parents, does that mean the banded albino or the SHTCT.

Thank you again.

Thanks Paul.

Second project crossed a bell albino with a SHTCT het bell. What do I cross the offspring with next year for best possibilty of producing sunglows.

Thank you

I would cross the ones the become Bells and have a nice colouration back to the SHTCT het Bell as the other Bell is not colourfull.

So I am clear. To produce sunglows on project #2 (Animals not pictured)......

If you could cross the bell hets (babies) with anything next year.

It would be back to the SHTCT het bell "father".

Correct?

to eachother will yield the nicest colored hybinos, but to the male will give the most albinos. To a hybino will give the nicest and most hybino type trempers ;)

Is that a general rule with all albinos:

to get hybino, sunglow....

Cross hypo Het x Hybino or sunglow = More Hybinos/sunglows.
Cross hypo Het x Hypo Het = Medium amount of Hybino/Sunglows (Best Clored)
Cross Hype Het x Albino = Lowest prob. of Hybino/Sunglows

Thanks

Well a homozygous hybino to a hypo het albino will give you nice colors due to line breeding giving the colors.

Het to het gives fewer homozygous albinos than albino X het, but the line bred color traits are there.

Albino X hypo het albino looses some of the line bred traits

These are just my opinion though.
