Shy males...

This is my second year breeding, but with more males this time. The male I had last year was a stud!
But this year, both him and the three other guys I have show almost no interest in the ladies. I have 3 "personalities" going on here:
The bandit bold jungle, who last year was pretty crazy about getting some love, show NO INTEREST AT ALL this year. He's not even checking out the girls when I place them in with him. o_o

Then my Shtc, who has always been a easy-going little sweetheart. He does the tail-tapping, licks the girl a little, but then walks away.

Then my two enigmas, and they are nuts. They are like teenagers full of hormones and are just way too rough with the ladies. D:

So I'm asking; I don't think my girls have started to ovulate yet; will the guys respond to that? Will the non-interested guy and the shy one get interested and maybe get some action going if the female is ovulating?
I keep all my geckos seperate, but I've started to introduce them to each other a couple times a week to see if that helps the ladies into season. Everybody is 100% properly sexed..

Your introductions will induce ovulation, then everything should happen as you wish. Keep it up.

I'm having a similar issue, my male has been in with the female for at least two months, why aren't they doing anything?

I have a male who I have never seen either wiggle his tail or mate, but his females all became gravid last year and produced well.

Thank you for your answers.
I know I just have to be patient, and they probably will come around when the time is right.. But this is just too damn exciting! xD

I think I actually can see my enigma female ovulating now, I see a few white semi-big spots on her belly.. placed her in with the shtc, but she flicked him off with her tail as soon as he started to take interest, and then he walked away.
I'm gonna try again in about 3-4 days, and see if it changes.. :) *crosses fingers*

Some folks here (me included) have tried this trick and been successful. But yeah, just be patient and introduce them every three or four days (that is if they're housed seperately) and it will eventually happen.

Nevermind what I said, I put together my enigma female with the shtc male, and they hit it off right away. :D:D
And then I put the tremper albino female in with the tremper enigma male, and they hit it off - TWICE! :main_thumbsup:
This is so exciting! :)
