Sick Gecko?

Righteo my Lepoard Gecko just doesn't want to leave his hide. I've seen him a few times in the afternoon but he goes straight back inside. He hasn't eaten in about 3 days and im concerned. He used to come out quite often but now nothing and i cant even get him to take food from my hand. Is he ill and could it be serious. Is a vet trip needed or is their a treatment I could try myself?

Can you tell us a little more about him and how you have him set up?
How long you've had him, his age, cage temperatures and layout, etc.
