I am new to leos, I was given 4 last night from a bad family situation, I love snakes and reptiles, but mostly snakes. I have seen something like this is a snake with a bad shed. I have not seen it's eyes yet, I didn't want to try and open them and I really don't know anything about leos except they are cute. Please look at the pic and tell me what you guys think, my daughter really wants to keep these guys, Please help

Thanks

Mike

Yes this does look like mouth rot. Here are some specific and general suggestions:
--go to the articles/caresheets section of this forum (tab at the very top) and read the caresheets. There will be some inconsistencies, but in general it will tell you what you need to know
--if you can sex the geckos, do so and make sure that any males are put by themselves individually
--soak any that have stuck shed to see if you can get it off
--take them all to the vet with a stool sample if possible. The one in the picture needs an antibiotic and they all might
--keep offering food and water though they may not eat at first

ask questions and keep us posted.

Good luck

aww poor thing, yes I would definitely take it to the vet, and get an oral antibiotic for it... I used a q-tip with some water on it and let the water drop onto its eye to help loosen the shed. You can also put it in the bathroom with you and turn the shower on hot so it steams up the room for moisture.
