Sigh... it's so hard not to buy him!

I was in my city's __co today, and saw (again) an adult male crestie that they have had for almost two months. I've been watching him ever since he got there - he is so gorgeous, it's making me drool. He's dark charcoal with light white/tan phase harlequine markings and dalmation spots on top. He's got a full tail, he's BIG and healthy, and he has a very nice crest. And... he's only $50.00. I got him out and handled him today because I had some time to kill, which was a big mistake. Turns out, he's remarkably calm and tame for a crestie too, which only made me want him that much more, lol!

I want so bad to go in there, impulse buy and give him a good home... but I'm a poor vet student and I'm trying to save my money for a puppy. I just hope whoever gets him knows what the heck they're doing, it would be a crying shame otherwise.

Hopefully since the store is taking good care of him they'll be able to steer a new owner into taking great care of him as well.

Awww, you guys are no help, lol! Maybe I'm just looking for some encouragement to do it anyway. ;) We'll see what happens...

I'm afraid that you picked the wrong place to look for any advice against buying him
lol
Seriously-if you can afford him and have the room etc-go for it
You have more will power than me to be able to leave him there after handling him-lol

The price is fantastic for a gecko that size and that particular Chain of stores usually takes very good care of their Cresteds

I have a few from there and they are doing very well after a year

Keep us posted

PS-expect to see pics soon-lol
