Okay, so I'm not truly promoting R2Reptiles so I can get like a discount on her bamboo for my tanks but I gotta gush about a good breeder and customer relationship.

Robin has taken every call and question my 19yr old daughter continues to throw her way about little Pepper. :) Tuesday it was..."Why is Pepper shaking like that?"

"Mom..Pepper is shedding."
"Uh huh"
"Mom..she's out of her hide like Griff did."
"Really?!?! Let me see."

Pepper is a VERY social butterfly, not very nocturnal. This is her first shed with us.

"So how long do you think she'll be? Griff was pretty fast."
"I dunno honey, each is different. Just keep an eye on her face & toes."
"Should I get a warm bath for her?"
"No honey, just let her do it herself. If it's not done by morning, then we'll step in."
"But they guy at the pet store with that snake..."
"Honey..that was a snake...and that guy knew what he was doin. Has worked with snakes for years...you've had Pepper how long?"
"Yeah ok"

Few minutes go by....
"Mom..Pepper just shook again. She's shook a few times."
"Shook like how? Shiver down your spine shook, cold shiver shook or like seizure shook?"
"Not seizure...more like a shiver, and she's rubbing on stuff. Temps are normal. Is she tryin to get the skin loose?"
"Rubbing, yes, to getting it off or started off. Shaking may be like..eewww my skin feels funny. Just check on her."

30mins later...
"Mom..I can't help but worry. She's not shaking ALOT, but still shakes. Griff didn't do that at all." (this is where they forget I work with monkeys, have knowledge of monkeys and that I'm new to reptiles just like them. My last snake was over 25yrs ago, knowledge has changed. So I'm not all knowing of all animals like a mom should be :p )

"Honey, why don't you give Mrs Robin a call. I'm sure she'll have a better answer than I can give you."

I think it was a hour later that they finally ended the call. :main_laugh: Pepper did have a hard time with some skin over her muzzle, but it all came off after a while.

Thanks Robin for taking the continued calls and emails. :main_thumbsup: There will be more. :main_laugh:

+` She's great :) She was very helpful with me too. I've spoken a few breeders and among them -TonyC, Kristi and Robin have been so helpful.

How you act plays a big role for me, I have to admit there was a gecko I was going to buy from someone but I didn't like the way they acted to I turned to someone else even though I was going to buy that leo. I only chose from people on the forum at the reptile expo but was turned off by one of them :p

Robin, this goes ta show that buying from a breeder also lets you ask all kinds of questions at just about anytime and if you have a good breeder then you'll get the answer no mater how "silly" the question. You and your husband and Kelli & her husband STILL answer my questions, after seeing y'all at 3 shows, and I know I've asked the same questions a few times. *lol* And Whitney of GoReptiles answered my multi emails about Griff. You KNOW your geckos and can/do tell us if it's something Pepper has done before or it's new. And if it's a new thing, what's your knowledge of it. You may not get that at a pet store with rotating work schedule employees.

I'll remind her to take pics again, since this was her first shed with us. Pepper has gotten darker in the area around her hips like Britt told you before the shed. I haven't seen her after shed, was busy with other things since Britt said the shed went fine this morning.
