So I read that silkworms are a pretty good feeder. I also read they eat mulberry leaves...do you still have to gut load them?

Well, you do have to feed them. You can use fresh mulberry leaves (which I get from a local tree when I have silkworms sometimes in the summer) or they make a mulberry chow that can be mixed up and fed. That's the only thing they'll eat. I have enjoyed having silkworms. I'd put a bunch of mulberry leaves in one evening and by the next day the worms had turned them into mulberry lace doilies and had also grown. SOme of my geckos loved them, some didn't. You just have to be really carefull to maintain good hygiene since they can get sick and die easily, though I didn't have problems with that.

So since I only have one gecko...I'd only like to get a small amount of silkworms...are there any places (other than Mulberry farm because they're sold out) that only sell 25 at a time? I think getting 50 might be too many...they'd be huge by the time I could keep them alive/feed them all off.

Also, do they seem to be well-liked by most geckos? What is the "average" that a gecko will eat per feeding?

Most my geckos love silkworms and they are a balanced source of nutrition. 50 is a bit much but you can order them small and that should hold you off for a month or so.
