Silly Gecko!

I just thought this was hilarious. I just put in fresh mealworms in my gecko's cage...he hasnt really gotten the concept that they're there for food. well, i put the mealies in a little clear plastic container (like for condiments) and well, my leo saw the mealies moving around in the dish, and he tried to lunge at them through the dish! it was so funny, the look on his face was priceless! and the best part was...he tried again to get them through the dish! lol. silly gecko!

Poor baby. :laugh4: Mine tried to eat one that fell in the water dish - and then he realized there was water in it. :sweatdrop:

LOL. all THREE of my geckos do that!!!! but they don't just stop striking at one. they will try for HOURS. literally. thet are so stupid sometimes, i sat there and watched them for a least an hour one time and they never figured out how to eat them. i finally had to just drop them on the floor in front of their faces. haha!

I put some worms in a plastic cup and set it in the tank, they struck the cup a few times and eventually figured out they can climb up on the wood or stones to get into the cup. Eventually they figured out how to knock the cup over.

yeah...i look in his cage after work tonight and found the cup knocked over and all the mealies gone...i hope he ate them and not let them run loose in the tank.

haha, I've set a cup of superworms down on the floor of Dante's tank so I could pick them out to feed him but he decided he wanted the ones in the cup more than the ones I picked out of it. Eventually he got fed up though, he's far too lazy to keep on trying.

Hehe. my gecko see's the mealies lunges for them, and misses. It is the funniest thing, because she does that about 3-4 times before she can eve eat 1.:laugh4:
