sim question

ok i got my sim today great design i love it but i have a question i put it on my scale to zero it out so i could add perlite how much water do i add if i put 142 grams of perlite in it witch is rite at the fill line

Saturate the perlite, adding too much water is not an issue with the SIM because the eggs are not in contact with the substrate.

ok thanks im not going to use it for leo eggs till i get my nature spirit soon but im gonna put my friends crestie eggs in it for now iv just got a hovabator and dont wanna take the chance of my eggs drying out

Tony's right. I drench my perlite and just watch my conditions over the course of a few days. You want a misty appearance on the side walls and maybe a bit on the lid, not dripping or rainy inside. Just watch for that and you'll be ready to put eggs in.

ok thanks one question about that if i use a sponge on the lid till i get my nature spirit would i be able to take it off wen i get my new incubator and not have no holes in the lid liek could i plug them and how do you get the sponge on the lid
