hey guys, read up alot on sunglow and from what i see SHTCTB het albino plus a SHTCTB het albino will give u sunglow. The parents of these SHTCB het albino r usually a SHTCTB and an albino. What if my offspring from the parent is a ALbino ( tangerine tremper ), can i jus breed it with a shtctb het albino or similar tangerine tremper to get sunglow? I'm confused. And can i get sunglow from breedin my tremper orange back to the parent, if possible, is it back to the shtctb or the albino?

The most important thing is that there has to be an albino gene in each parent and there has to be a super-hypo characteristic in at least one parent.

The albino gene is recessive, so a gecko has to get an albino gene from each parent to be albino

The super-hypo characteristic is, in most cases, linebred, and from what I've read in the case of the Hines line it may be dominant. In either case, if only one of the parents has the super-hypo characteristic then some of the babies may also have it. If both of the parents have that characteristic, more of the babies will.

So as long as you have both parents either albino or het for albino, and at least one parent super-hypo, you have a good chance of having Sunglow offspring.

I have been working on producing hybinos (same thing, but the name given to the tremper line of these) for the last few years by breeding my male tremper albino with a female Hines line super-hypo (it's taken a few years because she has not been a good breeder and it took quite awhile to get anything from her) and then breeding the offspring back to the father.

the following pairings can also succesfully give you sunglows:

immidiate results with these pairings:
shtctb het albino x shtctb het albino (in theorie 25% sunglow)
shtctb het albino x tangerine albino (with a bit of luck)

2 years with these:
first year: shtctb x tangerine albino => wil give you tang (super)hypo het albino (poss. baldy, all depends of origin from the tang albino)
second year: breed the nicest offspring toghether. Again you need a bit of luck with this one.

I started some years ago with option 2 and succesfully developped my sunglows and they keep improving every year.

good luck!
