so a pet store by me is doing $1 a gallon aquariums. my leo is only 6 months old(not sure of length or weight). but will a 20 gallon suffice for him. he is currently in a 10gallong, and with his humid hide and water, food, calcium etc. it just doesnt seem like alot of room for him to walk around. will a 20g long stress him out a bit?

tbh, id say both those sizes would be fine. though too much space can be very daunting for a little guy and a little bit stressful.

A 20L is great for one to two leos. You HAVE to have at least three largish hiding spots, though, because they don't often like to be out in the open and too much open space might stress him a little. If you have enough hides, he should be happy as a clam--er...a gecko :)

I had my little guys(they were about 5 inchs) both in there own 20Ls without a issuse at all. I had one in a 10 for a short time and when he got his 20L he LOVED it! in the 10 he'd try to climb the glass. In the 20 long i have a hot hide, a moist hide(on the cool side), a hubba hut in the middle, a hammack in the corner over the hot(making a hiding place behind the hot hide and on it) and a branch and some plants. LOTS of room in a 20L lol. definatly a good deal!

20L is a lot smaller than 20Gallon you do know, right?

Ah right, so 20L, stand for 20 long, meaning 20 gallons long ? lol.

Yeah, a long time ago when I first started looking into leos I thought it meant liters as well.

20 Gallon = 24.25" L x 12.5" W x 16.75" H
20 Gallon Long = 30.25" L x 12.5" W x 12.75" H

The 20L is just nicer because it has more floor area, since leos don't need the extra height on the tank as much.
