So I was at our local chain pet store to buy meal worms when I saw two huggeee African Fat Tail Geckos in a tank, obviously wild caught.

Well the reptile care taker walks up and was like do you want to see them so I was like sure. Well one was REALLY aggressive, he already scarred the guy's hand. The other one was nicer.

But that aside...these things were..well, really big!!! Bigger then I thought AFT's would get, and I thought Leo's were a little bigger O_O
I didn't mind the size, I was just like...wow.

Can anyone show me like, there adult Leo's on their hands?

Maybe I've just never seen adults in person!!!

Mine is almost full grown but I dont have a pic of her in my hand as she still a bit freaked out. She is almost a year and close to 7 inches nose to tail. She is captive bred though, maybe thats the difference? Does that help??

Stripes is about 4 1/2 months now. 7.5". He's a male BTW. Mine is captive bred too.

Here is my biggest male (non-giant), he is 115g:

We just got in some AFT's at work too (which sucks 'cause I'm quitting at the end of the month so I won't be there to take care of them! D. They're average size I guess, but both have lost their tails. They've regrown them though. They're pretty nice, aberrant, I think, with a white stripe down their backs. I would have thought that AFTs in captivity would grow bigger than those in the wild simply because the wild ones probably don't live as long or have food on a regular basis like the captive ones do.

I dont understand what a giant is, i thought it was just a weight isn't 115 a giant??

Also a dollar is a good way to show size, everybody knows how big a dollar is, set the animal down on a dollar or next to one for a size comparison.
