Ive noticed small bugs (not ants) walking around both the tanks. They are very small , i just dont know how they got there. They kind of look like fruit flies. Is there any way to remove them?

Hard to tell without a picture. What kind of substrate do you have? If they are fruit flies they will remove themselves.

I have the repti-carpet substrate. No they're not fruit flies, they are like fruit flies (size comparison).

I had little fruitfly like things in my spider plant when I watered it too much. They were nasty and annoying. I'd pull everything out, bleach what can be bleached and replace what cannot.

I notice I get small insects when I use coconut fiber in my lay boxes.

Those are probably predatory mites, isopods or springtails. Pretty harmless to leos as they hunt down the real parasitic mites and other dangerous bugs on the substrate. Otherwise, it is pretty normal to have both on a coco fiber substrate.
