I came home from the office today to find this little leo.

I'm leaving him in the vermiculite until his yolk sack is absorbed or breaks off. It seems that it might have left the egg quickly before absorbing the yolk, the egg was on the opposite side of the container from where it was initially.

It is approx 2g right now as a guestimate and has a large amount of the yolk sack still attached. It hatched approx. 4 days late compared to the others at the same temps. Is there anything I can do to help this little one?

I would not keep the little one on the vermiculite, but would dampen a paper towel in a separate deli cup and keep it in the incubator overnight.

Let's hope it has the strength to hang in there!

Thanks Marcia, I have the little one in the cup. It is very spunky and has no troubles walking, so that even gives me more hope Edgar.

I was worried about how to get it out of the vermuticle container and it made it very easy for me. When I opened the lid it immediately climbed out and all I had to do was cup my hand outside of the container and it crawled onto my hand. :)

Thanks Michelle, she rested there until I put her back into the container.

Is there anything else I can do for this little one or just wait until the first shed and see how she does?

Congrats on the cute little hatchling. Maybe mist the sides with water. For my hatchling that hatched yesterday, she has a water bowl, humid hide and I misted her before I left for the night. I got home tonight and she is doing great.

I'm really thankful for this site and the members in it! Here is some updated pics from today. She seems to be getting around OK. She gets tired at times and has to rest but is doing well.
The pictures below shows how small she really is compared to the Gatorade cap. Would it be OK to give this little one some of Marcia's Slurry?
