Smelly Supers?

Do superworms normally smell? I bought 250 supers a like a week or more ago and I have them in a plastic bin and I just opened it and it sure is smelly. Not disgusting but there is a distinct smell. I change the fruit/veggies every other day so I dunno if its the worms or should I change the moisture source everyday?

PS - - I have them on either carrots or cantalope which are placed in a little petri dish and they're on oatmeal.

I've noticed if you get them from a pet store and they don't feed them enough, the worms eat each other and it smells bad(I don't have a sense of smell, so I have my mom smell the superworms to find the healthiest one, our pet store sucks)

Other than that she said they don't smell bad, but they smell different from the regular meal worms

keep your tub uncovered the humidity can kill them and make sure they are not eating eachother since dead worms smell horrible lol.

I think that was the issue.. I decided to pick out all the live ones because a few had died and were in pieces, eww.. So I put them in a new tub with carrots, grinded oatmeal; so it's easier to sift through them and a piece of egg crate so they can climb and hide under.

I don't have a problem with humidity, and my tub is always covered.
