snake shedding

i noticed my corn was going into shed a couple of days ago so i started soaking him like usual but today i noticed his top layer of skin is comeing off in little bits this never happened last time but then i did not see him sheding is this normal?

It is not normal for a snake to shed in bits... This is a good indication that you are not providing the proper humidity level... It is not the end of the world so do not panic...

What you can do to be sure all of this shed comes off is to ball up a bunch of damp paper towels and put them in a pillow case... Put the snake in the pillow case with the balled up damp paper towels, tie off the open end and leave the snake in there for a couple of hours... Be sure to place the sack in a warm area like in the mid temp range of its cage...

do Corn snakes need Humidity? would i just mist the aspen i just thought misting aspen was a bad idea becuase it would grow moldy?
