I spent a good amount of time sourcing a new cricket supplier last week and finally found one that I thought was a hit. So I emailed them, asking about general prices and delivery service. I did mention that my boss may ALSO be interested but I thought I was clear that I was the main customer. I was intending to pass the info along TO my boss and DID so and he said he wanted to see how my order was first before he ordered. Well, supplier goes ahead and sends me a price list, that happened to be wholesale but honestly, I don't think I even noticed.. I admit.. MY MISTAKE.
I say I'd like to place an order and tell him what I want. Still, again, too excited about finding a new cricket supplier to really think back to the fact that the pricelist said wholesale.
I get an email back today of him telling me that I'm trying to BREAK THE LAW, and that he is willing to place charges and the whole nine yards because I'm asking him to sell to me at wholesale and that he can't do this and he needs to see my business licence and vendor number and all sorts of stuff.
For crying out loud. I wasn't INTENDING to break ANY law, it was a simple mistake and for him to get all up in my face was un-needed. I sent an email back apologizing for the misunderstanding but that I was slightly offended by the way he worded his response. I asked for public retail prices but honestly, I'm pretty put off now and don't think I'll be ordering.
I admit, that it WAS my mistake, that I didn't notice the wholesale thing and should have requested a second, general sale, pricelist, but for him to get all in my face about pressing charges and stuff, c'mon.
:main_rolleyes:
Needless to say, I'm not impressed.
