I have a juvenile leopard gecko, she is in a 10 gallon tank, she has an undertank heater and an infrared light above 50 watts, I was told by the pet store that I could keep the infrared light on all the time, but I had it on for 15 minutes today and it made the hot side 100 degrees! I know thats gotta be way too hot, with out the infrared the whole tank stays at about a steady 80 degrees daytime, a little lower in the evenings, what do I do? whats right? is it different for all geckos? I've been told so many different temps, I'm not sure whats good for her. Thanks for any advice, much appreciated :)

Leopard geckos require: 90-96F ground temperature on the warm side of the cage, the cool side should be room temperature(around 70F).

Get a thermostat or rheostat to control the temperatures of the heating elements.
