I just found out that one of my xmas gifts from my girlfriend is a leo, to be picked out by me.......up to $500. How am i ever gonna decide??? What would you guys pick? What's the best investment?

see if u can get a emerald i think those are beautiful. i saw some for 600 but maybe u can get 1 for 500 that would keep you ahead of alot of people...

I wouldn't get an emerald. They are nice, but just not worth the money in my opinion. I have greener tangs than RTs emeralds are. Look at your collection now and see what's compatable with your animals. What do you have as of now to breed?

I'm gonna wait for th jan 5th & 6th white plains show. I don't like the idea of shipping, especially living in the northeast, it's so cold here.

If I had 500 to spend I would look to get yourself a nice Raptor and a MAck Snow Het Tremper and make some Mack Raptors this year or maybe a Super Snow Albino instead. Definitely get adults..... ... get something you can breed this year and make killer babies with.

I'm actually considering using it toward my rack system, but not sure yet. When the babies start to come i'm gonna be overwhelmed with tanks everywhere.

That's not a bad idea..... you can fill a rack quickly with only a few adult breeding pairs doing their job...lol

if u are going to the whiteplains show i would try to find out who is going to be there as paul said alot of breeders here from this site will prob be there. check out their sites and see what they have available as well. while i am not a breeder as of yet (possibly having my first breeding happen tonight) alot of great breeders like pat, paul, alberto, and others will be there. be sure to look around before deciding there will be lots to choose from i am sure. it will be my first trip to whiteplains and i am excited.

That's what I would do. You'll thank yourself every time you're quickly cleaning baby tubs instead of cumbersome tanks.
